Awareness through Movement® Group Classes weekly on Fridays at 2pm
Due to COVID19 classes are now going to be offered using Zoom online video platform. Please contact me if you would like to be included in these classes. Limited floor space available.
Where: In the comfort of your own home. You will need Internet access, and a phone camera/laptop camera or webcam that can be aimed at you whilst you are lying on your mat. Your system will need to meet the specifications listed here.
When: Fridays at 2pm to 3pm (not school holidays)
Cost: $18/ ($13 concession) per class
This class is suitable for beginners. Please bring a large towel, and if you have neck discomfort bring a small pillow. Confirm by contacting Mary (0438449529). Information will be emailed to you with information about the class and the links to the class on Friday mornings. After the class an audio recording is sent to participants and can be purchased by others on request.
The Feldenkrais Method helps you feel more like a human by reducing unnecessary tension, finding power through better use of your skeleton and promoting a better understanding of your limits and potential. Using diverse and sometimes very unfamiliar movements (that maybe you didn’t know you could do), you start to move with more ease and grace.
Each class has a new movement sequence gently guided by Mary Kelsey, a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Physiotherapist, who will help you recognize ways of moving and resting that feel better. These classes are based on those taught by Moshe Feldenkrais.
No previous experience in the Feldenkrais Method is necessary. To be comfortable you should wear loose clothing and bring a large towel.
